Making a trade in fantasy seems like it’s the toughest decision of all. Everyone wants to feel like they’re getting the best deal and that the trade will definitely improve their team. There’s just too many times though that people sit back and never pull the trigger. They will lurch around their fantasy league each week knowing they want to make a move, but never do. Well if your team isn’t undefeated or your players aren’t producing at a pace that you like then the time is now. The key to any trade is improving your team and you can do this by improving a specific position you are lacking points in or by selling high and buying low. So if you’re one of the weekly window shoppers who never can make the purchase, then here are three guys to trade away and three guys to trade for that will allow you to know you got a great deal on any of the trades.
Players to Trade Away Soon
Matt Forte – Okay, Matt Forte hasn’t had the greatest year yet, but he’s still a big name and he’s about to get it going. He’s got the Lions this week and favorable matchups in the upcoming weeks. The perfect time to trade Forte away is after week 8 because you don’t want him facing the Vikings during twice and he has bad matchups for the playoffs.
Cedric Benson – Get the most of him this week and then trade him away. Cedric is playing great, but his production is far beyond of what it’s ever been. You’ll need him against the Browns this week, but after that you can get excellent value out of him.
Eli Manning – Everyone’s less favorable Manning has got off to a great start. Most of this is due to the fact that he’s played some horrible pass defenses. No one will be on the Eli wagon just yet, but he will have excellent games in the next few weeks and you’ll be able to get rid of him and pickup some much more needed position.
Players to Trade For
DeAngelo Williams – He’s definitely gotten off to a slow start. The entire Carolina Panthers team has gotten off to a slow start. I think they’ll rebound and that DeAngelo will be a huge part of it. They have bye this week and Washington the week after. Look to pick him up after week 5 and you will get a great contributer for the rest of the year.
Steve Slaton – GRAB HIM NOW!! Slaton had some of the toughest matchups in the first three weeks and he is producing more each week. If you can grab him, do it! The best part about him is in the playoff weeks (14-16) he has matchups with Seattle, St. Louis, and Miami.
Terrell Owens – TO had his first game in over 10 years without a catch last week and things will definitely turn around for him. TO always puts up solid numbers and people seem to be down on him for multiple reasons. I’d grab him this week if possible because he has great upcoming matchups.
So now you have some players to actually go out and get or players to sell and make a solid profit.
